What do you expect in an application?

Yeah, some serious stuff here. ALL characters are subject to moderator approval and should follow the appropriate character application. If you're having trouble with any part of the application, contact a moderator and they will be more than happy to help you out. Detail, Detail, Detail. Only fully detailed bio’s will be approved by the owners of HH. The Owners & Moderators of HH do reserve the right to reject a character submission for whatever reason.

Who can I app here?

You may apply characters from fictional media (books, movies, television shows, video games and anime/manga), original characters, original canon characters. AU characters will be looked at on a case by case basis - we make no promises concerning AU characters..

Who can’t be applied:

Real life people and celebrities will NOT be allowed to be apped. This means: NO, you may not app Paris Hilton or Justin Timberlake. Sorry bros.

Can I apply for an Original Character?

Yes of course! We also accept Original Canon characters! Please be aware that ALL original characters will be scrutinized more than a normal canon application. Original canon characters can have nothing what so ever to do with any canon characters. Basically they’d be from the same setting. For example, I wanted to play a vampire from the True Blood series - I could make this vampire but they’d be from a different area - California perhaps and would have no connections to any of the canon characters.

There’s already a version of my character here. Can I still app them?

No. As much as we may enjoy perving on Dean Winchester, one is already more than the world can handle - which means there can only be one version of a character in the game at any time.

But what if I want to app their face twin??

Oh well then, have at it!

How many characters can I app in application round and what’s the character limit?

You can app two characters per round, and can play up to four characters in the game without moderator approval. Any further applications require mod approval and will be assessed by player activity.

Can I play more than one person from the same canon?

Simply put: No.

Can I use samples from another application/game?

Yes.

What about head canon? Can I use it?

To a point. Small use of head canon is fine - like picking a character’s favorite wine or the fact that they can’t live without a cup of coffee. We understand that everyone has head canon for their characters, but we ask that you be smart when applying it to your character and their application. Over abundant use of head canon in an OU application might result in us contacting you and asking you to tone it down.

What if my character’s dead?

Sure you can.... BUT! Surprise! They’re no longer dead. We can’t tell you why buuuuuuuuuuut all characters are brought into Heavenly Hills living, breathing and able to bleed. Any injuries they acquired that may of caused their death, or just injuries period, will be MAGICALLY healed and your character will be the perfect picture of health. Now isn’t that nice?

Can we carry over character relations and/or development from another roleplay game?

You sure can! We just ask that you make sure that the section on the application dealing with transferring CR is filled out with as detailed as possible.

What about apping characters that have been dropped from the game?

If you want to app a character that’s been dropped from the game, you are more than welcome to! Please just be sure that they’ve been officially removed from the game first to avoid any possible confusion.

OK, what the hell is up with this prose based crap?

Sooooo many games these days are network based that we thought: Well gee! Let's be different! Let's make a game that is prosed based! It'll be amaaaaazing! Let's do it! For real, that was our thought process! We can't be like everyone else you see!

Does this mean there won't be a network area or devices?

There is indeed a network community! Please do note that while you'll have the ability to communicate with your fellow inhabitants through our devices, you can in no way move these devices outside of their homes because, oh yes - here it comes, these devices are actually rather large 1950's television sets! This of course means that you'll only be able to communicate with others if you're inside of your homes and yes, you guessed it, so are the inhabitants you're trying to communicate with.

This really reminds me of that one game and yeah that one TV show that really didn't make it past its first season.

The only thing this game and that other game have in common are the facts that they're both games AND they both seem to be set in the 50's. And the TV show? We have no idea what you're talking about.

Where the hell am I??

You, my friend, have just arrived in the perfect little town of Heavenly Hills! You’ve never heard of it? Well don’t worry about that! You’ll come to love our little town so much that you’ll never want to leave!

Uh, why am I here?

Well, that’s a difficult question to answer. Don’t worry about it though! You’re here and that’s really all that matters and things will be absolutely perfect! You’ll see!

What the hell happened to me?! I’m not human!!!!!!!!!

Oh dear. Well you see, you being anything other than human would make our town less than perfect... And we can’t have that. You might notice we’ve been kind enough to leave you with a few of your non human self! Maybe your ears are a little pointier than a normal humans, oooooooor maybe your eyes are an unusual color, but those hooves you once had? Gone! You have feet now.

OMG! My powers are gone! WTF!

Yes, sorry about that. But we just wanted you to fit in and really, who wants to only be allowed out in the night and have to live off of blood? That’s positively unthinkable!

What about my stuff? Do I get to keep it?

No. Sorry but your own things just don’t fit in our happy town. This means no jewellery, no socks, no knives - nothing.

What if I don’t speak English?

Poof! You do now! Everyone in Heavenly Hills speaks English. It’s not polite to ask how we did it. We won’t tell you!

What about deaths and injury?

Well if you happen to die, which of course we hope doesn’t happen, there will be certain, ah, penalties which will occur for you. These of course will variate from case to case and what you might have been penalized with, someone else might get something completely different if they die. You will be happy to know that you’ll soon wake up and your body will be back to perfect health! Injury on the other hand, it's going to happen, such a sad fact of life - hopefully our little clinic is equipped to deal with your injuries!

Oh heeeeeeey! I know that dude from somewhere!

Do you now? How great! But make sure it’s okay with the other character’s mun before outright blurting that out! We’re okay with fourth-walling AS LONG as the character’s mun is alright with it! Please be sure to check out the permissions page to check and see if it’s okay!

I wanna blow some stuff up! Can I blow the diner up?

Oh of course you can, though we can’t think of a reason why you’d want to do that! There would of course be consequences for your behavior, and oh... You most certainly won’t like it one bit! Also, the diner would just happen to be back the next morning.

STFU! There’s a computer chip in my brain?!

Why yes there is! Sadly you won’t have any idea about this in the game! Just know it’s there and there’s no way to remove it. We assure you that we had your best interests at heart when we placed it there!

What’s the deal with that Host guy?

He’s the man who will let you all know what’s going on in our little town! He’s super nice and is there to answer your questions! Now, sometimes he might not give you the answers you want to hear, but isn’t that life?

And what about the concierge at the motel?

He’s also there to help you out, though don’t expect him to answer too many questions! He’s just there to make sure your motel room has fresh towels and sheets!

Who the hell is The Board I keep seeing?

The Board would like to inform you that there is no need for you to be asking any questions as to who or what they are. (We would like to inform you that they be the big shots around here and the less said about them the better.)

Can I kill these bastards?

Well, what a nasty attitude! While you can certainly try and might succeed, just know that they’ll be back first thing the next day AND you’ll be punished.

Seriously? There’s a friggin FORCEFIELD?!

Why yes there is! It’s there to keep you safe! It would be best if you don’t try and get through it, wouldn’t want you to end up hurt now!

What the hell is up with all these surveillance cameras?!

Oh, you noticed those did you? Well, in case you didn't notice... They are everywhere. In every building, in every room (yes, even the bathroom). They are also on every street. We just want to ensure your safety and this helps ensure that crime stays where it belongs - outside of our lovely town.

Where am I supposed to sleep?

Oh don’t worry about that! If you’re lucky enough you’ll have woken up in a nice lovely house! Otherwise, there are plenty of other houses in suburbia for you to pick from!

Clothes! I kinda need them!

Then aren’t you lucky! We’ve provided you a nice closet full of lovely garments from the 1950’s! If those aren’t to your liking, you can head down to our little clothing store and see if there’s a nice flannel jacket or maybe that lovely pink Poodle skirt for you!

What about a job? Do I need one of those?

You don’t have to get a job since everything you’d possibly need is provided by us, isn’t that nice! We aren’t going to stop you from working though - just be aware that you’ll be working with no pay.

Well where can I work?

At the moment there are actually only a couple of places you can work: The clinic, the bar and the diner. Just so you’re aware - not everyone can work at these places and it’s a first come, first serve kinda deal. More jobs will open during the course of the game.
